In collaboration with The Grief House, Sibling Storytelling is designed as collective care for anyone surviving sibling loss—whether through estrangement, disconnection, distance, or death.
The intention is to affirm the truth that sibling loss is a shared experience, not just a private wound, and provide a space for sibling grievers to be seen, heard, and held.
During the session, we explore an emotion as an opening into collective memory, meaning-making, and connection with our siblings that may not be accessible at this time.
Through guided writing prompts, story shares, brief breaks of breath and bodywork, we honor the complex realities of siblingship in all its forms.
There aren't many spaces that honor sibling loss that I have found and I am so grateful to have found this space. The prompts helped me to tap into my body and experience, and to feel the things that lived there. Krystle is a wonderful facilitator, and the space created felt supportive, nourishing, and grounding. The space was like a warm blanket for this otherwise very isolating and heartbreaking experience.

I attended one of Krystle’s sibling storytelling sessions because I wanted to learn how to better support a friend who lost her brother. While I haven’t personally experienced sibling loss, the session taught me the importance of simply being present, listening, and knowing how to hold space for someone who is grieving.
The activities encouraged meaningful reflection and helped create opportunities to explore emotions that can be difficult to put into words and can be applied to different types of losses. I absolutely recommend her coaching to anyone looking for that kind of support and connection.

Working with Krystle May in her storytelling sessions is like receiving a big creative hug. Her prompts are so thoughtful and the way that she holds space for people participating is so generous. I am grateful to have this space to return to to process the sibling experience through creative expression.
